Vintage Damascene Brooch - Bird and Floral Design in Gold and Black

Beautiful and detailed vintage brooch in Spanish Toledo damascene style. Designed with a wavy/floral outer edge, black enamelled/oxidised background and gilt inlaid decoration depicting a bird in flight surrounded by floral scrollwork and leaf patterns. The reverse is gilt and fitted with a working pin and safety catch.
