Terms of sale

1. General

By completing a purchase in the online shop or participating in an auction at Østlandet Brukt & Antikk, you accept these terms of sale. All items are second-hand or antique and may show normal wear and patina consistent with their age.

2. Prices and fees

Online shop

All prices are stated in Norwegian kroner (NOK) and include 25% Norwegian VAT where applicable. The price at the time of ordering is the price shown in the shopping cart. For deliveries outside Norway, local import duties and taxes may apply and are the buyer's responsibility.

Auction

In addition to the hammer price, a buyer's premium of 25% incl. VAT applies. The premium is calculated on the hammer price and added to the invoice.

3. Payment

We accept payment via:

• Visa and Mastercard
• Vipps
• Klarna

All payments are processed securely through our payment partner Stripe. We do not store card details on our servers.

Auction purchases must be paid within 7 days after the auction closes. In case of non-payment, the item may be re-offered for sale and the buyer may be held liable for any resulting loss.

4. Bidding (auction)

All bids are binding. By placing a bid you commit to completing the purchase if you win the auction. Bids cannot be withdrawn once placed.

A reserve price may apply to certain items. In the event of equal bids, the bid placed first wins.

5. Condition

All items are sold "as is". We do our best to describe the condition and any damage in the product or auction description. Minor wear, patina and age-related marks are normal for second-hand and antique items and do not constitute grounds for complaint.

Photos are for illustration, and colours may differ slightly from reality.

6. Delivery and collection

Online shop

We normally dispatch within 1 to 3 working days after payment is received. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on size, weight and destination. We ship worldwide with insured parcels and provide customs documentation for deliveries outside Norway.

Auction

Items can be collected from our address within 7 days after payment:

We can also arrange shipping by post or courier; the shipping cost is agreed separately. Items not collected within 7 days after payment incur a storage fee of NOK 50 per day.

7. Right of withdrawal

Under the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you receive the item. The right of withdrawal applies to consumer purchases only.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, the product must be returned in the same condition as received. Return shipping is paid by the buyer, unless the item is defective or materially misdescribed.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to items collected in person from our premises, or to specially ordered or personalised products.

8. Complaints

If you receive an item that is defective or deviates materially from the description, you are entitled to make a complaint under the Norwegian Sale of Goods Act. Contact us within a reasonable time via our contact page with photos and a description of the issue.

9. Limitation of liability

Østlandet Brukt & Antikk is not liable for indirect losses or consequential damages. Our liability is limited to the value of the product sold.

10. Privacy

We take your privacy seriously. Read our privacy policy for information about how we process your personal data.

11. Disputes

Any disputes are governed by Norwegian law. We encourage you to contact us first so we can resolve any issues amicably.
