Certina DS-2 Automatic "Turtle Back", ca. 1970s

Classic Certina DS-2 Automatic "Turtle Back" from the 1970s with the highly sought-after green fumé dial and characteristic orange seconds hand. The model is part of Certina's well-known DS series (Double Security), renowned for its robust construction and shock-resistant build.

The watch features the distinctive tonneau-shaped steel case, date display, and the original Certina calibre 25-651 automatic movement with 28 jewels. The case back is decorated with the iconic turtle motif that has given the model its nickname "Turtle Back".

This example has recently been serviced with replacement of faulty parts. The crystal and case have been lightly polished, and the watch is fitted with a new green strap that harmonises well with the dial.
