Porcelain Figurine of a Stoat with Egg, Lomonosov ca. 1960-80

Hand-painted porcelain figurine of a stoat (ermine) with an egg from Lomonosov (Imperial Porcelain Factory) in Russia. The figurine depicts a slender, elongated body in motion with a decorative egg in its mouth, executed in a clean and characteristic style typical of Soviet animal porcelain.

The white glaze is combined with subtle details in black and blue on the egg, along with darker markings on the tail and small details on the face and paws. The expression is both playful and elegant, and the model is known from the factory's classic animal series, designed by Pavel Veselov.
