Advertising Ashtray – Tiedemanns / Porsgrund ca. 1930–40

Classic advertising ashtray for Tiedemanns Tobak, produced by Porsgrunds Porselens fabrik. Made in white porcelain with coloured decoration, featuring the well-known slogan «Tiedemanns Tobak er dog den beste» along the rim.

The central motif depicts a black grouse in a mountain landscape, part of the so-called Fauna series. The design is based on drawings by Ridley Borchgrevink, often signed with the initials R.B.K., which can also be glimpsed within the decorated field. The underside bears a green Porsgrund mark, confirming the manufacturer.

A period-typical advertising piece with both collector's value and decorative appeal.
