Silver beaker on feet, dated 1778

Antique silver beaker standing on three small feet, dated 1778. The beaker has a classic, slightly conical shape with engraved decoration on the front, including initials and the year within a circular wreath.

On the reverse side is an engraved inscription reading «Erindring af Far» (In Memory of Father), suggesting that the beaker was given as a personal gift or memorial piece. The interior is gilded, which was common practice to protect the silver and give an exclusive finish.

The underside is stamped with several hallmarks, confirming the material and suggesting European origin. The exact maker or town is not clearly legible from the images.
