Book-shaped Money Box – Oslo Sparebank ca. 1920-30, the savings book

Antique money box designed as a book from Oslo Sparebank, manufactured by Bankers Utilities Co. in San Francisco. Made of metal with a blue surface and decoration in gold-coloured print, along with brass fittings on the corners.

The front features a stylised motif of a bank building and the text «Oslo Sparebank», while the spine has simple decoration with an emblem. The back is without text, with discreet frame ornamentation. This type of money box was used as a promotional item for banks during the interwar period.

A decorative and collectible object with a clearly period-appropriate design and function.
