Carved Wooden Troll Figure, Signed CL 1968

Hand-carved and hand-painted wooden troll figure, signed “CL” and dated 1968. The figure is a classic example of Norwegian folk art from the 1960s, with a playful, detailed expression inspired by Scandinavian folklore.

The troll has characteristic long hair, a large nose and a decorative red mushroom cap with white spots. A charming detail is the small ladybird perched on the very tip of the nose, a traditional symbol of good luck. The figure stands on a hexagonal wooden base and shows clear traces of craftsmanship in both the carving and the surface finish.

A charming collector's item and decorative piece that fits well in Nordic interiors or as a gift for collectors of trolls and folk art.
