Historic and sought-after Norwegian token coin/note coin from the fateful year of 1814: 16 skilling rigsbanktegn minted under King Frederik VI at the Royal Mint in Kongsberg.
These copper coins were issued as temporary payment tokens during the demanding monetary conditions following the Napoleonic Wars and the state bankruptcy of 1813.
