Lena Walton Herfindal

Lena Walton Herfindal is a metal and jewellery artist who also works with drawing. Buskerud Kunstsenter documents the translation of drawn structures into jewellery and shows work in silver, brass and copper. The artist's name is therefore not a guarantee of one particular metal.

The Vigeland Museum documents a specific earring collection inspired by Vigeland Park, its sculptures and landscape. The museum describes hand-sawn jewellery in those three metals. This collection represents a particular museum-shop collaboration, not evidence that every Herfindal piece belongs to the series.

When assessing pre-owned work, compare form, material, size and provenance with the correct collection. Retain purchase records and packaging. Yellow metal is not automatically gold, and a dark surface should be described before being interpreted as damage or later treatment. Unfamiliar marks require separate investigation.
