Silver and Enamel Brooch, Nils M. Elvik ca. 1930-40

Elegant round brooch in 925 silver and enamel from Nils M. Elvik in Oslo. The brooch is stamped 925S along with the maker's mark NE in a horseshoe, a mark documented as used on works by Nils M. Elvik. The firm was particularly renowned for its silver and enamel work.

The front features pale guilloché enamel with a fine radiating pattern, framed by black enamel. At the centre is a hand painted floral motif in blue and green. Classic Norwegian enamel work with a decorative, period typical expression.
