Sonja brooch in 14ct gold with cultured pearls

Sonja brooch in 14ct yellow gold with cultured pearls arranged in a distinctive sunburst design. A larger central pearl is surrounded by smaller pearls along the gold rays.

The design is associated with Norwegian jewellery from the second half of the 20th century and is attributed to goldsmith Sigurd Homstvedt. This example is marked 585 and has a pin fastening on the reverse. Good vintage condition with light signs of wear. The clasp has not been functionally tested by us.
