Grape Harvester, sculpture signed Rancoulet

Patinated figure of a young grape harvester carrying a basket, a long-stemmed pipe and a curved harvesting knife. The base bears the signature “Rancoulet”, and the model is associated with the French sculptor Ernest Rancoulet. The figure is stated to be bronze; the metal alloy has not been tested. The foundry and date of this cast have not been established. Good used condition, with surface wear, variations in the patina and marks underneath.
