Small silver box with enamelled Norwegian lion, damaged hinge

Small round silver box with a hinged lid and an enamelled Norwegian lion emblem in red and silver colour. The side has an engraved name, and the interior is gold coloured. The box is reported to be made of 830 silver.

The hinge is damaged and distorted, and the lid does not sit evenly or close tightly against the rim. A dent is also visible near the edge of the lid, together with scratches, patina and signs of use. Sold in this condition. The maker and exact age have not been established.
