Alma Geller (Alma Sophia)

Alma Geller, whose full name is Alma Sophia Grønli Geller, is a Norwegian goldsmith and jewellery designer with a London studio. She presents her jewellery under the name Alma Sophia. Her training includes goldsmithing at Plus-Skolen in Fredrikstad and a bachelor's degree from the University for the Creative Arts in Rochester in 2013.

Her own account places the practice at Cockpit Arts in Bloomsbury. Repeated geometric elements made from square tubing are a feature of her sculptural jewellery. Norske Kunsthåndverkere also documents the Rococo collection of 2022. This is contemporary jewellery inspired by a historical style; the collection name does not date an object to the eighteenth century.

When cataloguing an item, record the artist, trading name and particular collection separately. Compare shape, dimensions and materials with documentation for the individual model. Geometric or Rococo-like appearance alone cannot establish authorship. An artist's name or accompanying box must also be distinguished from marks on the object. No particular responsibility mark is attributed here.
