Anders Wingård
Anders Wingård is a Swedish glass artist with a studio in Baskemölla, Skåne. His own presentation states that he has blown glass since 1970, while the studio has been based in Baskemölla since 1986. These dates describe different events rather than competing foundation dates for one location.
Both the artist and Form/Design Center's producer platform SPOK describe handmade glass for everyday use. Documented work includes drinking glasses with an incorporated glass form resembling an ice cube and cobalt-blue glass spheres for gardens. An ice-like feature should therefore not automatically be described as a foreign inclusion or damage.
When assessing older work, compare model, shape, dimensions and purchase or exhibition records. Blue colour alone does not establish Wingård's authorship. Record inscriptions accurately without turning one signature variant into a rule for the entire output.
