Anna Handell

Anna Handell is a Swedish illustrator, artist and designer. For Magnor she collaborates with Finn Schjøll on porcelain ranges including Florytale and Bijoux. Magnor presents them as a design partnership, so documented collaborative products should not automatically be credited to Handell alone.

The designs draw on natural elements such as birds and plants, with a colourful, narrative character. Florytale includes tableware, while Bijoux consists of small decorated porcelain dishes or bowls. Florytale Puffin is a specific example featuring a puffin and coastal plants.

For identification, distinguish designer, range, decoration and material. Magnor Glassverk is the brand associated with these products, but the objects are porcelain and must not be described as mouth-blown glass. Compare the underside, marks and imagery with product documentation. Assess chips, scratches and wear to decoration or gilded edges separately. A bird motif alone is insufficient for a secure attribution.
