Audemars Piguet

Audemars Piguet is a Swiss watch manufacturer from Le Brassus in the Vallée de Joux. Its official history traces the origin to 1875 and describes the business as remaining independent and family owned.

Production and models

The manufacturer is associated with mechanical pocket watches and wristwatches, including complicated pieces. Brand names, logos, references, serial numbers and calibres vary by period and model. One famous model does not represent the entire production.

Identification

Inspect dial, movement, case and clasp as separate components. A signed dial alone does not prove that the rest of the watch is original. Compare reference, serial number, calibre, material and service information with the manufacturer archive or a qualified specialist.
