Bauhaus (watch brand)

Bauhaus, also styled bauhaus, is a watch brand from POINTtec. The producer's announcement from September 2020 describes the official launch of the new brand. It is a modern brand designation and must be distinguished from Bauhaus as a historical school and design movement.

The producer links the name to its production site in Ruhla and a building dating from 1929. The building's date is not the founding year of the watch brand. The official shop lists several series, including Pure, Dessau and Aviation. A series name and reference number are therefore more useful for model identification than the word Bauhaus alone.

When buying a used watch, compare dial and case-back markings with documentation for the actual reference. A watch described as being in the Bauhaus style is not necessarily made by this brand. Do not infer a particular movement, crystal material or water resistance from the general designation. Record the series as well as the brand to avoid mixing up different models.
