Candino

Candino is a Swiss watch brand within Festina Group. A Candino press release published by Europa Star in June 2002 gives 1947 as its starting year and January 2002 for its integration into the group. These are dated brand statements, not a production date for an individual watch.

Its historical range includes different technical approaches. Candino's 2007 presentation discusses quartz moonphase watches dating to 1983. The 2002 material describes Ceraline using ceramic and steel with a quartz movement. These features belong to the models described, not to every Candino watch.

When buying an older example, examine the reference, movement type, dial and case together. A moonphase display identifies a function; it establishes neither a production year nor a mechanical movement. Follow the correct model manual for operation. Condition and documented servicing should be assessed separately from the original sales specifications.
