Damasko
Damasko is a German manufacturer of mechanical wristwatches. Its own account documents the automatic manufacture calibre A 35 in 2010 and the hand-wound H 35 in 2012. These are specific movement types, not proof of the calibre fitted to every Damasko watch.
Materials engineering is a distinguishing feature. Damasko differentiates between through-hardened martensitic stainless steel and surface-hardened austenitic submarine steel, among other materials. The steel and treatment depend on the model and series. Ice-hardened steel should therefore not be used as a blanket description of all the brand's cases.
For a used watch, identify the reference, case type and actual calibre before recording specifications. Compare documentation for the same version and period. Examine crown, threads, crystal and surface coatings, and record service history. Current model information does not automatically establish the properties of an older example.
