Festina
Festina is a watch brand originating in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, in 1902. It belongs to Festina Group. Brand history and group membership should be distinguished from the manufacturing location and technical specifications of a particular watch.
Models and timeline
The Japanese distributor's history lists No.9 in 2006, the women's Milano in 2008 and Ceramic in 2009. Such introduction dates concern model history, not a secure date for every example. Festina is also associated with cycling through historical timekeeping and marketing, but this does not establish that an individual watch was used at an event.
Assessing used watches
Identify the specific reference before describing its movement, case material or functions. Document the dial, caseback, crown, bracelet and clasp. Ask about servicing and distinguish tested operation from assumed operation. A name such as Ceramic alone is not a material specification for every component. Use specifications belonging to the actual reference.
