Garrick Watchmakers
Garrick Watchmakers is a British watchmaking business founded by David Brailsford and Simon Michlmayr. It describes watches built to order in its Norfolk workshop, with a strong emphasis on hand craftsmanship. Dials and hands are important elements of the brand's visual identity.
A specific example is the S7, whose maker documents an engine-turned dial made on traditional machines and a modified vintage Swiss movement with manual winding. British workshop execution and movement origin therefore need separate descriptions. This also does not mean that every Garrick model uses the same movement.
When assessing a pre-owned example, examine the model, dial execution, movement and accompanying order or service documents. Personalisation may make two watches of the same model look different. An older base movement inside a newer watch does not date the whole watch to the movement's original production period. Check that the execution matches its documentation.
