Grovana
Grovana is a Swiss watch brand. The Gröflin brothers founded its predecessor in 1924. Werner Bitterli acquired the factory and introduced the Grovana name in 1970. Its first collection followed in 1971. Company origins and brand introduction are distinct milestones.
The range includes quartz watches and automatic mechanical watches. The manufacturer identifies Ronda movements among those used in its quartz range. This does not establish a common movement, crystal or case material for every Grovana. Specifications require checking against the individual reference.
For secondhand purchases, examine the reference and movement, servicing needs, dial condition and replacement parts. Current product descriptions cannot automatically date or describe an older example. Keep receipts and service records, and record discrepancies between accompanying paperwork and the watch actually offered for sale.
