Gullsmed Hellman

Gullsmed Hellman is a Norwegian family business established by goldsmith Frank Hellman in 1973. Its shops in Asker and Sandvika have their own jewellery workshops. Their work includes repairs, engraving, alterations and custom design.

The business operates as both craft workshop and retailer. Its range includes other manufacturers' jewellery, while Vintage by Hellman offers selected pre-owned pieces. A sales label from this department does not by itself identify Hellman as the original maker. An older jewel may likewise have been repaired or remodelled in the workshop without the entire object sharing that origin.

For secondhand purchases, distinguish the original manufacturer, subsequent workshop intervention and latest retailer in the documentation. Preserve receipts and descriptions of commissioned changes. For a custom piece, record its designer and executing maker where known. The business history beginning in 1973 cannot establish an individual jewel's production date or determine the responsibility mark it should bear.
