Heidi Kristiansen

Heidi Kristiansen is a Norwegian glass artist based in Lofoten. She trained at the glass school in Kosta and the design school on Bornholm. Her work includes functional objects and sculptural expressions, with playfulness, colour and exploration of traditional glass techniques forming important elements.

Her own CV records co-ownership of Kristiansen & Paalgard glass at Engelskmannsbrygga in Henningsvær from 2014 to 2024, followed by Heidi Kristiansen Glass from 2025. The former shared studio name should therefore be distinguished from her own practice. The Norwegian Association for Arts and Crafts presents Gloubi-boulga, in which glass forms resembling chewed gum are combined into a larger work. That resemblance is an artistic device, not a statement of material.

When buying a piece, keep the artist's name, work title, dimensions, known year and any exhibition history with it. Preserve receipts and documentation linking that particular object to the artist. A strong colour, playful shape or shared studio name cannot alone securely attribute a work to one individual.
