Heidi Skofsrud (Studio Sirkel)
Heidi Skofsrud is a glass craftsperson known for her work with Studio Sirkel. She trained as an apprentice at Hadeland Glassverk and holds a vocational qualification in glass craftsmanship. Her association with Studio Sirkel focuses particularly on exploring how collected glass packaging can become new handmade products.
Raw material and collaboration
Norske Glasskunstnere describes the workshop's material as recycled packaging glass collected through household return schemes. Sirkel documents drinking glasses, lamps and the Smelta collection's lamps and vases. Gunhild Solberg and Heidi Skofsrud are presented as initiators and concept developers. Projects may also involve other designers, so the studio name does not automatically identify who designed each object.
Recording a glass object
Record artist, designer, project and workshop separately where documented. Recycled raw material concerns the material's previous life, while mouth-blowing describes its subsequent working. Colour and bubbles alone do not prove Studio Sirkel origin or recycled packaging content. Retain labels, receipts and model information, and document dimensions, edges and any damage.
