Helene Duckert
Helene Duckert is a Norwegian artist with a background in the Metal and Jewellery Department at Oslo National Academy of the Arts. She completed an MFA in Medium- and Material-based Art there in 2018. Her own presentation describes work with discarded and scavenged objects, assemblages and installations.
Her connection to art jewellery is documented by participation in Everyone Says Hello at Kunstnerforbundet in 2019. The exhibition explored contemporary approaches to jewellery, with Duckert among its contributors.
An artist's name should not be treated as the manufacturer's name for every component of an assemblage. Distinguish artistic intervention, older components and later mounting. Record the work's title, overall format, materials and documented exhibition history. Construction from used objects alone proves neither authorship by Duckert nor a common date for all components.
