Hilde Fostveit
Hilde Fostveit is a Norwegian jewellery designer. Brødrene Flaarønning credits her with the Runa range for Tinn-Per. Her role as designer must be distinguished from the foundry and brand supplying the jewellery.
Two documented examples are bracelet article 626610 and ring 626611. The supplier describes the bracelet with a runic alphabet and the ring with wording translated as My dear, kiss me. Both are presented as pewter products cast in Hønefoss. These details concern the documented models rather than all Fostveit's work.
Runic decoration does not turn a modern jewel into a Viking-period find. Compare form, inscription, dimensions, material and model number with maker documentation. A grey surface does not establish silver, nor should Fostveit be identified as the person who cast the object without further evidence.
