Hoholm goldsmith workshop
Hoholm is a family goldsmith workshop in Innlandet, Norway. Yngve Hoholm began repairing jewellery at home alongside other work in 1975 and became self-employed full-time in 1976. With Ranveig Hoholm he operated Løten Gullsmedverksted. The business restarted in Hamar in 1982 as Gull og sølvsmia.
The firm's own history connects the present workshop with Yngve, Ranveig and their daughter Silje Therese Furulund. Its work includes manufacturing and repairs, including commissions for other jewellery retailers. Bunad hair clips are a documented part of its own range. This history involves different locations and names rather than one unchanged shop throughout.
For an individual jewel, investigate former business names, retailer and executing workshop separately. A receipt from another jeweller does not rule out subcontracted workshop production. Equally, retailer information alone does not identify the maker. Model details and traceable records should accompany the object; no specific hallmark can be established from the business history alone.
