Ina Kristine Hove

Ina Kristine Hove is a Norwegian glass artist with training as an actor. She runs Oslo Glass Studio at Kirkeristen with Kjersti Johannessen and Jeanne-Sophie Aas. Her work takes human interaction and the ways people affect one another as a starting point.

Process within the expression

Hove describes blowing a form and then working the glass through actions including pressing and local heating. Traces of the process should remain visible in the result. Transparency and interior spaces contribute to the expression, and works may be organised in groups or series. Some objects combine glass with scrap iron, wire or metal components.

Documenting work

Record the glass, associated materials, joins and any work or series title. Distinguish intentional form from actual cracks, chips or loose components. Workshop association provides useful provenance, but not every object from Oslo Glass Studio can automatically be attributed to Hove personally. Examine signatures, purchase history and correspondence with documented work together.
