KUOE Kyoto
KUOE Kyoto is a Japanese watch brand established in Kyoto in 2020. The manufacturer states that its watches are assembled in its own workshop there. Its history traces founder Uchimura's interest in classic watches to an encounter with older hand-wound watches in London in 2010. That date concerns the idea's origin, rather than the brand's establishment.
The first model was the Old Smith 90-001, introduced in April 2020. Subsequent families include Old Smith and Royal Smith. Historical styling and names do not make these vintage originals: they are modern watches inspired by classic designs.
For a pre-owned KUOE, record the complete reference. Check movement, case material, size and functions for that reference instead of extending one model's specifications to the whole brand. Kyoto assembly also does not establish internal manufacture of every movement part. Retain purchase and service documentation.
