Magnhild Rølvåg
Magnhild Rølvåg is a goldsmith and jewellery artist whose own account dates her Buvika workshop to 2010. She records earlier work experience with David-Andersen in Oslo. This is biographical background, not evidence that jewellery from her own workshop was manufactured by David-Andersen.
Circles and ovals are central to her designs. Circular elements are rolled into ovals, shaped and assembled into patterns. Norske Kunsthåndverkere documents Ovaler works from 2019 in 925 silver sheet and wire, as well as a bracelet under the same series name at the 2018 Annual Exhibition. The workshop explains that some oval components are cast in Norway and finished in Buvika, while others are formed by hand. Describing every component as hand-forged would therefore be inaccurate.
For identification, compare joints, shape variations, dimensions and documented materials with the specific model. The series name alone cannot establish a single production year. A fineness indication also does not identify the maker. Original receipts or workshop documentation help distinguish artist, retailer and manufacturer.
