Marte Mellem
Marte Mellem is a Norwegian glassblower trained in Kosta and holding a glassblowing craft certificate. Her own presentation emphasises simple glass objects with attention to function and design. She also describes an earlier independent glass workshop on Jeløya.
Det Gule Huset's catalogue lists dessert bowls, small drinking glasses, wine glasses and a carafe under her name. This documents functional glass within her production without establishing a date or production site for an unidentified example.
Compare form, size, decoration and any marks with documented works. A sales outlet is not necessarily the maker. Retain receipts and ownership history, and record scratches or chips separately. A simple shape alone is insufficient evidence for attribution to Mellem.
