Martti Rytkönen
Martti Rytkönen is a Finnish glass designer who has worked with Orrefors since 1994, initially as a scholarship recipient. Orrefors credits him with City and Peak and describes graphic effects developed through cutting, blasting and engraving.
Peak is a barware collection launched in 2018. Its maker describes mountain peaks as inspiration for the pronounced glass surfaces. The range includes different glass types and accessories. A collection name is therefore not a complete specification of an individual product.
Rytkönen is the designer, while Orrefors is the brand associated with these ranges. Compare dimensions, profile, decoration and any model number against the correct catalogue. Do not assume that every angular Orrefors glass is his design, or that all his work dates from one period. Prefer documented models and condition over attribution by resemblance alone.
