MingarWalker glass studio
MingarWalker is a Norwegian glass studio in Jæren, established in 2006 by Line Mingar and Benjamin Walker. They operate the workshop together and assist one another during production, while making their own individual work. A studio name and an artist's name therefore do not always provide equally precise attribution for a glass object.
Mingar describes a design approach focused on use, the hands holding an object and clean lines. Walker emphasises free-blown pieces with a family resemblance but individually formed variations. These statements explain their practices without providing a reliable attribution test for unmarked glass.
Keep labels, model names, receipts and any artist identification with a purchase. Do not automatically assign everything from the studio to just one founder. Compare documented designs with the actual piece and record rim chips, cracks and repairs. The studio's establishment date is not the production year of every object carrying its name.
