Monta
Monta is a watch brand associated with St. Louis in the United States and production in Switzerland. Its design draws on functional wristwatches of the 1950s and 1960s. This is a stylistic reference, not a date for Monta's own watches. The manufacturer dates the beginnings of the Oceanking model to 2016.
Editions and generations need to be distinguished. The documented third-generation Oceanking with black dial and ceramic bezel has an automatic M-22 movement, a 40.5 mm case and a stated water-resistance rating of 300 metres. These specifications should not automatically be applied to earlier Oceankings or other Monta models.
Record the model reference, bezel, dial, bracelet and service history when assessing a used watch. A branded movement designation alone does not prove that every component was manufactured in-house. Water resistance of a used example requires assessment of its actual condition and testing.
