Oak & Oscar

Oak & Oscar is an independent watch brand based in Chicago and founded by Chase Fancher. Models such as the Olmsted, Humboldt GMT and Atwood serve different functions and should not be described as one technically uniform range.

The maker's Humboldt GMT presentation specifies a Swiss Sellita SW330 movement and an independently adjustable 24-hour hand. The model also has a two-layer sandwich dial. The Atwood is instead presented as a manually wound flyback chronograph. Its flyback function allows the chronograph to reset and restart, a different purpose from displaying another time zone.

When assessing a used example, identify the exact model and edition before comparing movements or specifications. Examine dial, hands, bracelet and documentation when considering originality. An American brand identity does not in itself establish that the movement or every component was manufactured in the United States.
