Paul Picot is a Swiss watch brand founded by Mario Boiocchi in 1976. Its official Japanese presentation places its beginnings in the period when quartz watches challenged traditional mechanical watchmaking. The founder's name and the brand name are therefore separate details.
Model names presented on the brand's own website include Technicum and Yachtman Club. These provide a starting point for identification but do not alone establish production year or technical specification. A family name requires a reference and documentation for the correct variant.
When buying pre-owned, examine dial, hands, case and movement together. Record later restoration and replacement parts and seek service history. The same dial logo does not mean every watch shares functions or power reserve. Historical information about the firm's location should not automatically be treated as a current service address.
