Perrelet

Perrelet is a watch brand with an explicit connection to the watchmaker Abraham-Louis Perrelet. Its historical narrative should be distinguished from the production date and movement of a modern wristwatch. A historical name does not itself document uninterrupted operation by the same company.

The manufacturer's P-321 and P-391 manual dates the P-181 Double Rotor calibre to 1995 and describes a visible dial-side rotor. Fondation Haute Horlogerie dates the launch of the Turbine collection to 2009. Double Rotor, Turbine and an opening exposing the balance should therefore not be treated as interchangeable terms.

The manual also illustrates a useful model distinction: P-321 has a date at six o'clock, whereas P-391 exposes the balance through an opening. Confirm the calibre and reference before describing functions or operation. Do not extend a stated power reserve, water resistance or setting procedure from one model to the entire brand.
