Pierre Lannier
Pierre Lannier is a French watch brand founded by Béatrice and Jean-Paul Burgun in 1977. The name is a brand name and should not automatically be treated as the founder's personal name.
Production and models
The brand's history records a second production workshop in Antananarivo, Madagascar, from 2010. French brand origins therefore do not establish where an individual older watch was produced. Its craftsmanship presentation describes development in Alsace and includes automatic, quartz and solar-powered collections.
Buying a second-hand watch
Record the case reference and compare it with documentation for that exact model. Movement type, case size, crystal and stated water resistance require separate checks. A recent automatic model provides no technical specification for an older quartz watch carrying the same name. Examine the crown, hands, date function and any bracelet, and request service information. A tidy exterior or an original water-resistance marking does not establish present-day water resistance.
