Putte Helene Dal

Putte Helene Dal, also presented as Putte H. Dal, is a Norwegian jewellery artist associated with Fredrikstad. She incorporates found objects and reworked components into jewellery and sculpture. Machine parts, wood, plastic and metal acquire new functions and meanings through assembly.

Her approach extends beyond precious materials and conventional ornament. One documented example in her Norwegian Association for Arts and Crafts profile is Inne eller ute from 2016, a pendant incorporating sewing-machine parts, brass and a pearl. She has belonged to the artist group ARKIVET since 2014.

Construction, moving components, titles and provenance are useful when assessing a possible work. A reused object alone does not establish her authorship. Membership of ARKIVET also does not make works by the group's other artists her creations.
