Raketa

Raketa is a watch brand from Petrodvorets near Saint Petersburg. The name appeared in the early 1960s. The factory's predecessor, established in 1721, worked decorative stone rather than making Raketa watches.

Assess dial inscriptions, references, case and movement together on a secondhand watch. Cyrillic lettering or a familiar motif alone cannot establish its model and age. Distinguish later replacement parts from documented original construction. State uncertainty rather than transferring the specifications of another model to the example under consideration. The history of the factory and the history of an individual object are separate matters.
