Raymond Weil

Raymond Weil is a Swiss watch brand from Geneva, founded by Raymond Weil in 1976. The brand describes itself as an independent family owned company with a longstanding connection to music and the arts.

Family business and production

The official history records that Olivier Bernheim joined the family business in 1982 and that Elie Bernheim later continued it in the third generation. The company identifies an in house technical office, a network of production partners and an assembly workshop in Grand Lancy. This should not be simplified into a claim that every component in every model was made in one place.

Identification

Collection names and musical references may help identify a model family but do not establish age or movement on their own. Check reference and serial numbers, case, dial, movement and documentation. A signed box or loose component does not prove that the complete watch is original.
