Ronja Allum
Ronja Allum is a Norwegian artist working with jewellery and installations. The Norwegian Metal and Jewelry Artist Registry also lists her as Brit Ronja Allum. Her background spans metal, jewellery art and costume design.
Drypp is a jewellery series in porcelain and silver. On her website, Allum explains how a form from an earlier hair ornament was developed through plaster and porcelain experiments in 2016. She also presents variations involving glaze and freshwater pearls.
The series illustrates how art jewellery can combine ceramics and metal. Assess each component separately, recording chips, glaze cracks, metal fittings and replacements.
