Serica
Serica is a watch brand founded in Paris in 2019 by Jérôme Burgert and Gabriel Vachette. Its own presentation combines French design with Swiss production and an aesthetic inspired by functional mechanical wristwatches.
W.W.W. and later models
The first field watch launched in 2019 as Serica W.W.W., explained as Wrist Watch Waterproof. Its name and military-inspired styling do not make it an old military-issued watch. The history subsequently records 4512 in 2020 and the automatic chronometer model 6190 in 2023. A later model number or later certification should not describe an earlier example without specific checks.
Identification when buying
Serica emphasises a recognisable design language rather than a prominent logo. A restrained dial alone therefore does not prove missing or replaced branding. Record reference, generation, case back and movement, then compare the correct manufacturer documentation. Functions, water resistance and chronometer status must relate to the particular model. Claims of military use require evidence beyond design or model name.
