Steinar Fosback (Fosback Jewelry)
Steinar Fosback is a goldsmith and hand engraver operating Fosback Jewelry. His own history distinguishes his goldsmith qualification in 2006 from starting his own business in 2009. His work includes handmade silver and gold jewellery, with hand engraving an important element.
Fosback describes both traditional bench work and digital modelling. Some jewellery combines these approaches. Handmade does not necessarily mean every component was modelled without digital assistance. Any technical description should be linked to the particular work.
When identifying pre-owned jewellery, examine the name, model, measurements and purchase documentation together. Hand-engraved decoration alone cannot establish Fosback's authorship. Distinguish the person who made the jewel from someone who may have engraved it later. Record production date, personal inscriptions and subsequent changes as separate details rather than treating every visible feature as original.
