Titoni
Titoni is a Swiss watch brand originating in Fritz Schluep's workshop, established in Grenchen in 1919. According to the manufacturer's timeline, the first watches carried the Felco name. Titoni was introduced in 1952 alongside a stylised meihua flower. The floral emblem is a useful identifying feature, but cannot alone establish a watch's model or production year.
When dating a watch, distinguish the firm's origins from the age of the particular object. An anniversary date on a recent watch does not mean it was manufactured in the founding year. Compare name, logo, reference and movement with documentation for that specific version. A family business history also does not demonstrate that every model uses an identical movement.
Collectors should record dial condition, whether hands and crown suit the model, and documented maintenance. Keep original guarantee cards and service paperwork. Note a restored dial or replacement parts when these are known. A brand name or floral logo alone cannot provide a reliable assessment of authenticity or value.
