Tudor

Tudor is a Swiss watch brand historically connected with Hans Wilsdorf and Rolex. Tudor states that the trademark The TUDOR was registered for Wilsdorf in 1926. Montres TUDOR S.A. was created in 1946.

Tudor and Rolex

The historic connection does not make Tudor and Rolex the same brand. Older Tudor watches may contain components and construction details reflecting the relationship, but identification must rest on the individual reference, period and movement.

Examine the complete watch

Record the dial, logo, hands, crown, case, case back, reference and calibre. Compare the components with documentation for the correct period. A classic model name or familiar design does not establish age or originality. Historical water-resistance information is not a current pressure test.
