Tuva Gonsholt
Tuva Gonsholt is a glass artist living and working in Skien, Norway. She completed glass studies on Bornholm in 2003. In 2008 she established Tuva Glass as a cold-working studio at Spriten Kunsthall. Tuva Glass is therefore a workshop name associated with the artist.
Nature studies provide an important starting point for her work. During her March 2025 residency at S12, she worked on the ART project, inspired by insects and other small creatures. S12 describes experiments with opaque colours, forms and tactile surfaces. This involves an artistic interpretation of observations rather than a literal copy of one animal.
When acquiring a work, record the artist, title, known year, dimensions and materials together. Retain receipts and exhibition documentation. Distinguish a cold-working studio from a claim that every stage of glassblowing occurred at that location. An insect-like motif or a connection with Skien alone does not establish authorship.
